Magnetic SepFast™ Supor Q (DEAE, S, CM) is a group of special ion-exchange media with magnetic property. The working medium possesses a combination of small pores (50-100nm) and large pores (micro level). It shows fast accessibility to both small and large molecules (e.g. phage, plasmid and virus etc). They are particularly suitable to capture phage and viruses for screening / drug discovery use.
IEX SepFast MAG 6HF is a group of magnetic ion-exchange media very good for general purification of most protein molecules in aid of magnet.
IEX SepFast MAG 6HR is a group of magnetic ion-exchange media having reduced bead size. It settles less fast and binds protein molecules faster than IEX SepFast MAG 6HF. It is very good for fast screening / purification of protein molecules in aid of magnet.
The base matrix is made of a composite of magnetic polysaccharides that have been well cross-linked. The media is stable to most aqueous buffers used in life science field. These magnetic ion-exchange beads are particularly useful in high-through-put screening of phage libraries or high-through-put purification of proteins or viruses etc, at much reduced material cost in comparison to affinity based magnetic beads.
